Testing LogDistiller requires 3 steps:

  1. launch the GUI
  2. let the GUI create a new classification rules file
  3. analyze a log file and look at the report

After these steps, you should be able to figure out what LogDistiller can do for you (or not).

Then you can have a look at more advanced topics:

  1. enhancing the classification rules
  2. batch processing
  3. writing a custom log parser
